Q.How big are the electronic issues of your magazines?
A.Typically each issue is about 200MB. For interactive titles, this is primarily due to each issue having both portrait and landscape layouts as well as the addition of multimedia content.
Q.The progress bar looks like it's not moving, why is the download of the issue taking so long?
A.With any download over 20MB you should ensure that you are connected to the internet via your wireless as 3G may take a long time and use a significant amount of the data from your data plan.
Q.What should I do if the issue won't download or the install was unsuccessful?
A.Sometimes Apps don't install properly and will need to be re-installed. Through iTunes, uninstall the application and re-install it again.
Q.I reinstalled the application but when I try and download the issue again it says that I need to purchase it again. Will I be charged a second time?
A.No. When you confirm that you would like to proceed with the purchase you will be notified that you already own the issue and you can proceed with the download free of charge.
Q How do I cancel or manage my subscription (applies to Newsstand apps only)?
A. Subscriptions are offered via Apple’s App Store, which makes it quick and easy for you to sign up, but it does also mean that you then manage your subscription via the App Store. We are unable to change your subscription settings on your behalf.
The easiest way to manage your subscription is to follow these steps;
- Go to the Settings app on your iPad
- Choose iTunes & App Stores (or Store) on the left hand side
- Tap on your Apple ID email address at the top of the page
- Tap the ‘View Apple ID’ button and then tap on Subscriptions > Manage
You will then be able to select your subscription to turn auto-renewal off or to select another subscription term.
