THE ORIGINAL DOLLY MODEL SEARCH – WHICH DISCOVERED STARS INCLUDING MIRANDA KERR, JESSICA HART AND ABBIE CORNISH - IS BACK FOR 2013!
The Original DOLLY Model Search, which launched the careers of superstars including Miranda Kerr, Jessica Hart and Abbie Cornish amongst many others, today announced the commencement of their 2013 national roadshow. Details of the event, including the registration form, are in the March issue of DOLLY, on sale today.
After crowning Kirsty Thatcher in 2012, the judging panel – which includes DOLLY readers – are once again looking for a girl with confidence, a healthy attitude to life, who is relatable to other teens, has a range of interests, a well-rounded personality and the ability to represent herself in front of a crowd. This is a model search with a difference as the winner is chosen to be an ongoing ambassador for DOLLY magazine. Questions to the entrants on the registration form are based on their interests and hobbies, confidence tips and dreams for the future, not on their physical attributes.

In keeping with their commitment to promoting positive body image in teens, DOLLY has prepared a Body Image Tip Sheet, which all entrants are encouraged to read and follow before entering the competition. DOLLY will also hold a body image workshop for the six finalists prior to their debut fashion shoot to ensure that they have all the tools to be at their healthiest and happiest throughout the course of the competition and beyond.
The winner of the Original DOLLY Model Search 2013 will not only be crowned a DOLLY Ambassador, appearing in the magazine and on the website each month over the course of a year, they will also score a modelling contract with Chadwick Models, a fashion and a cover shoot with DOLLY and a trip to New York to meet with Chadwick’s US industry affiliates.
The national roadshow for The Original DOLLY Model Search 2013 will be held during March at a Westfield shopping centre in five major cities. For those who cannot attend a roadshow, there will also be an online entry mechanic available from March 9. The state and online finalists will be chosen by an industry judging panel consisting of DOLLY Editor, Tiffany Dunk; Westfield Stylist, Donny Galella and Managing Director of Chadwick Models, Martin Walsh. Once the six finalists are chosen, DOLLY readers then join the judging panel by casting their vote at dolly.com.au.
Smallzy, host of Smallzy’s Surgery on NOVA, returns to MC the national roadshow.

The six finalists will fly to Sydney to participate in a photo shoot to feature in the June issue of DOLLY.
